Hi Kevin,

I'm reaching out about a possible interview with author Dan Granger because he has experienced many of the same emotions that you described in your biography. Since childhood, Dan has dealt with SAD (seasonal affective disorder). This along with some particularly difficult events led him to the darkest thoughts of his life. He says himself that writing his book, "Why is Sam Sad," saved him and gave him hope that he could help others, including children dealing with depression, to know that they are not alone. He opens up the discussion of childhood depression and how this can extend into adulthood. He speaks about how to deal with sad thoughts, especially during the winter months.
